Time to start your SPRING CLEANING!
Well, the weather is trying to break here in Illinois. Hopeful that there are warmer days ahead. Days to throwing open the windows and airing out the house. Along with warmer days and windows open comes the urge for the yearly ritual of Spring Cleaning.
Not only should you focus on freshen up the inside of your home, you should take a look outside too. Especially, when we have had such a cold and brutal winter. Below are some ideas to get you started. Do a task or two a day and soon you'll have a fresh space.

Indoor cleaning:
* Wipe off ceiling fans and light fixtures
* Wash windows and sills
* Wash the curtains or switch the out for lighter ones (check tag for wash instructions)
* Wipe ceilings and walls down, especially corners.
* Clean baseboards.
* Vacuum and shampoo carpets and throw rugs
* Clean upholstered furniture (rotate/flip cushions if possible)
* Polish all metal hardware
* Clean doors
*Clear out your refrigerator and wash inside and vacuum coils.
* Vacuum and flip mattresses (wash all mattress protection covers)
* Organize, clear out winter clothes and coats out of closets and drawers (donate what was not used)
Outdoor maintenance:
* Walk around house, inspect roof,chimney,siding,foundation for damage
* Check any attic space for pests, leaks, and mold
* Clean out gutters
* Clean Air conditioners and get serviced before needed
* Check decks and patios
* Clean windows and reseal if needed
* Get screens cleaned and re-screened
* Look at faucets and sprinklers
* Get the lawn raked up
* Clear garden debris
* Repaint as needed
